GEFCO plays Mozart and Schoenberg

Our final concert gathers the talents of 15 local musicians into one ensemble, the Georgetown Epiphany Festival Chamber Orchestra, which will explore two pieces of repertoire for small orchestra by Mozart and Schoenberg. In assessing the difficulties of his own work, Schoenberg specifically identifies his piece as being for 15 ‘solo’ instrumentalists. The demands of the Mozart, however, are more subtly woven into the individual parts. Come hear our fifteen soloists tackle these imposing, sublime masterworks!
